Construction site Dossenheimer Landstraße: Diversion in place due to construction phase 6

The major construction site in Heidelberg-Handschuhsheim is entering its next and final phase. Whilst the construction site is being redeveloped, there will be road closures, diversions and replacement services operated by Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH (rnv) from Wednesday 12 August up to and including Sunday 23 August 2026.

Closure of the section between the Hans-Thoma-Platz and Dossenheim Bf stops in both directions
The stops at Johann-Fischer-Straße and Dossenheim Süd will be omitted
Diversion and provision of a replacement service
Monday to Friday from 6 am to 8 pm and Saturdays from 9.30 am to 7.30 pm:
Mannheim – Edingen – Mannheim Central Station – Bismarckplatz – Hans-Thoma-Platz and back
Weinheim – Schriesheim Station – (Dossenheim Station) and back
Monday to Friday from 4.30 am to 6 am and from 8 pm onwards, on Saturdays before 9.30 am and after 7.30 pm, and all day on Sundays:
Mannheim – Edingen, Mannheim Central Station, Bismarckplatz and back
Weinheim – Schriesheim station – (Dossenheim station) and back

In both directions, the section of the route between the Heiligenbergschule and Schriesheim station stops will be closed
The following stops are not served: Hans-Thoma-Platz, Johann-Fischer-Straße, Dossenheim Süd, Dossenheim Station, Dossenheim Nord, Schriesheim Süd and Schriesheim Station

Towards Schriesheim Bf: Serves the stops Hans-Thoma-Platz (platform G), Johann-Fischer-Straße, Dossenheim Bf and Schriesheim Bf
The stops Schriesheim Süd, Dossenheim Nord, Dossenheim Süd and Kapellenweg cannot be served by SEV buses in either direction. To reach the stops Schriesheim Süd and Dossenheim Nord, please use tram line 5
Monday to Friday from the start of service until 6.00 am and from 8.00 pm; Saturdays until 9.30 am and after 7.30 pm; and all day on Sundays

Towards Bismarckplatz: Serves the stops Schriesheim Station, Dossenheim Station, Handschuhsheim Burgstraße (temporary stop on Fritz-Frey-Straße), Hans-Thoma-Platz (platform F), Kapellenweg, Blumenthalstraße, Brückenstraße and Bismarckplatz (platform I)
The stops Schriesheim Süd, Dossenheim Nord, Dossenheim Süd and Kußmaulstraße cannot be served by SEV buses in either direction. To reach the stops Schriesheim Süd and Dossenheim Nord, please use tram line 5. To reach the Kußmaulstraße stop, please use tram line 26.
