Changes to services due to the Heidelberger Herbst Festival

This year’s Heidelberg Herbst festival will take place in the Altstadt area over the weekend from Saturday 26 September up to and including Sunday 27 September 2026. Due to the event, there will be changes to the timetable on several rnv bus routes. In addition, Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH (rnv) is increasing the frequency of services on several routes to ensure a convenient journey home.

Lines 20 and 36

• from Saturday 26 September, start of service, until Sunday 27 September, around 9.00 pm
• Diversion between Peterskirche and Altstadt S-Bf  in both directions via the Schlossberg Tunnel
• No service to the Oberer Fauler Pelz, Rathaus/Bergbahn and Neckarmünzplatz stops

Lines 29, 33 and M2

• From Saturday 26 September, start of service, until Sunday 27 September, end of service
• Diversion towards Universitätsplatz between Stadthalle and Peterskirche 
• The Universitätsplatz stop will not be served

Line M5

• From Saturday 26 September, start of service, until Sunday 27 September, end of service
• Diversion between the S-Bf Altstadt and Peterskirche stops
• No service to the Alte Brücke and Universitätsplatz stops

Extra services

Line 5

• Every 15 minutes
• between 7 pm and 2 am the following day
• between the stops HD Hauptbahnhof and Schriesheim Bf

Lines 22, 23 and 26

• Every 20 minutes
• until approximately 1.28 am the following day
• from the Bismarckplatz stop

Line 33E

• Every 15 minutes
• until around 1.30 am the following day
• between the S-Bf Altstadt and SNP Dome (hip) stops
