Cards that contain a microchip are electrical appliances according to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act. If you no longer need your chip card, please note that it must not be disposed of with household waste. Instead, hand it in at a collection point for electrical appliances that will recycle the product. You can find out where the nearest collection centre is from your city or local authority.
To protect your expired card from misuse by third parties, we recommend that you make the sensitive information on the card unrecognisable before handing it in at a collection point. To do this, cut the card where the rnv logo is. This will destroy the chip.
