Changes to services due to Schlossbeleuchtung

The first Schlossbeleuchtung will take place on Saturday, 11 July 2026. Due to the event, there will be changes to services on some rnv bus routes from around 6 pm and on some rnv train routes from around 7.30 pm. In the evening, services on several rnv train routes will also be increased.

Passengers travelling between the Neckar Valley (Schlierbach, Neckargemünd) and Heidelberg are asked to use the S-Bahn.

Line 5

• Diversion in both directions between Seegarten and Hans-Thoma-Platz
• The following stops will be omitted: Bismarckplatz, Brückenstraße, Kußmaulstraße, Blumenthalstraße and Kapellenweg
• Additional stops at Altes Hallenbad, Campus Bergheim, Volkshochschule, Jahnstraße, Bunsengymnasium, Technologiepark and Heiligenbergschule

Line 21

• Services that normally terminate at Heiligenbergschule will be extended to Hans-Thoma-Platz
• Additional service to the Hans-Thoma-Platz stop

Line 26

• Shortened route between Kirchheim Friedhof and Bismarckplatz
• The stops at Brückenstraße, Kußmaulstraße, Blumenthalstraße, Kapellenweg and Hans-Thoma-Platz will be omitted

• Valid with changes from around 7.30 pm onwards
• Shortened route between HD Hauptbahnhof and Bismarckplatz
• Diversion in both directions between Bunsengymnasium and Bismarckplatz
• The following stops are not served: Wielandtstraße, Mönchhofschule, Lutherstraße, Brückenstraße, Gaisbergstraße, Friedrich-Ebert-Platz, Peterskirche, Herrenmühle and S-Bf Altstadt

• Shortened route between Heiligkreuzsteinach and Neckarschule; from there, a diversion via Schützenhausbrücke to Altstadt S-Bahn station
