Changes to services due to castle illuminations

On Saturday, 5 September 2026, the second castle lighting event will take place. Due to the event, there will be changes to services on some rnv bus routes from around 6 pm and on some rnv train routes from around 7.30 pm. In the evening, services on several rail lines will also be increased.

Passengers travelling between the Neckar Valley (Schlierbach, Neckargemünd) and Heidelberg are asked to use the S-Bahn.

• Diversion in both directions between Seegarten and Hans-Thoma-Platz
• The following stops will be omitted: Bismarckplatz, Brückenstraße, Kußmaulstraße, Blumenthalstraße and Kapellenweg
• Additional stops at Altes Hallenbad, Campus Bergheim, Volkshochschule, Jahnstraße, Bunsengymnasium, Technologiepark and Heiligenbergschule
