Different operation due to foolish boat trip

This year's Närrische Bootsfahrt will take place in Mannheim city centre on Saturday, 14 February 2026. In connection with the event, Breite Straße and the Planken will be closed to rail traffic in two phases from around 11.30 am to around 2 pm.

Phase 1 - Closure of Breite Straße (approx. 11.30 am to approx. 12.15 pm)

Lines 1 and 3

• Diversion in both directions between Alte Feuerwache and Paradeplatz
• cancellation of the Abendakademie and Marktplatz stops
• Additional service to the stops Kurpfalzbrücke, MVV-Hochhaus, Dalbergstraße, Rheinstraße and MA Rathaus/rem

Line 4/4A

• Diversion in both directions between Alte Feuerwache and Kunsthalle
• cancellation of the stops Abendakademie, Marktplatz, Strohmarkt and Wasserturm
• Additional service to the Kurpfalzbrücke Ost, Gewerkschaftshaus and Rosengarten stops

Line 5/5A

• Diversion in both directions between Collini Centre and Paradeplatz
• cancellation of the Abendakademie and Marktplatz stops
• Additional service to the stops Kurpfalzbrücke Ost, Kurpfalzbrücke, MVV-Hochhaus, Dalbergstraße, Rheinstraße and MA Rathaus/rem

Line 7

• Diversion in the direction of Vogelstang between Paradeplatz and Gewerkschaftshaus
• Cancellation of the Marktplatz and Abendakademie stops
• Additional service to the stops MA Rathaus/rem, Rheinstraße, Dalbergstraße, MVV-Hochhaus, Kurpfalzbrücke and Kurpfalzbrücke Ost

Phase 2 - Closure of the Planken (approx. 12.15 pm to approx. 2 pm)

• Diversion in both directions between Paradeplatz (deviating platform A or B) and Rosengarten
• Cancellation of the Strohmarkt and Wasserturm stops
• Additional service to the Schloss, Universität, MA Hauptbahnhof and Kunsthalle stops

• Diversion in both directions between Paradeplatz (deviating platform A or B) and MA Hauptbahnhof Süd
• Stops at Strohmarkt, Wasserturm, Kunsthalle and MA Hauptbahnhof will be cancelled
• Additional service to the Schloss and Universität stops

Line 4/4A

• Diversion in both directions between Alte Feuerwache and Kunsthalle
• cancellation of the stops Abendakademie, Marktplatz, Strohmarkt and Wasserturm
