Ticket Machines
Ready for use day and night: Our ticket machines make buying tickets easy and convenient.
There are over 400 vending machines at rnv stops, with the following payment options depending on the type of machine:
- Paying with coins
- Payment with notes
- Cashless payment with EC card, VISA and Mastercard
The correct operation
- The ticket machines are operated via a touchscreen interface, i.e. by touching the screen.
- Select the desired ticket. The machine will guide you through the purchase process.
- The price is displayed.
- Select the desired payment method (only for machines with cashless payment).
- Immediately after payment, your ticket will be printed and displayed at the bottom of the flap.
- Change is also dispensed in the flap. Some machines also give banknotes as change. However, this is not at the bottom of the flap, but at the top of the banknote unit.

Tickets must be validated on the bus or tram. Tickets that have not been validated are not valid.
In an emergency
Do you or others need help quickly? Almost half of all rnv ticket machines are already equipped with an emergency call button. If you press the button in an emergency, a call for help is sent directly to the police on 110.
